A representative from Milwaukee County will be speaking on homelessness in Sheboygan this week.
The Sheboygan County Warming Center has shared that James Mathy, the Milwaukee County Housing Administrator, will be giving presentations to community members, government officials, and business representatives from the area tomorrow (October 22nd) at the Mead Public Library.
The community member session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with the government session then running from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by the business session from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
During these discussions, Mathy will speak on how Milwaukee achieved the lowest per capita rate of homelessness in the country and the strategies featured in the film Beyond the Bridge: A Solution to Homelessness.
These talks with Mathy will precede the screening of the Beyond the Bridge film, presented by the Warming Center, the Sheboygan County Housing Coalition, and Downtown for Good, which takes place at the Stefanie H. Weill Center tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.
The discussion will continue after the film is shown with a panel and Q&A session.
All four events are free of charge and those interested are encouraged to attend.
