A former Madison teacher is heading to federal prison for nearly two decades following a child pornography conviction.
59-year-old David Fawcett received an 18-year sentence yesterday, which will be followed by 20 years of supervision.
Federal authorities arrested Fawcett earlier this year after investigators traced explicit online communications from a 15-year-old victim back to a Madison IP address.
The former educator pleaded guilty to a single count of child pornography production back in July as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
