Two Rivers High School has introduced a new Student-Athlete Leadership Team.
The group, known as the Raider Athletic Council (RAC), was created to help student-athletes develop important skills and make a positive impact on their school and community, and to encourage stronger relationships among teammates, promote accountability, and help students become positive role models both on and off the field.
Two Rivers High School Athletic Director Blake Van Vooren, along with the school’s coaching staff, will lead training sessions focused on building championship character among council members and their teammates.
The council follows four main goals: “Lead Yourself, Lead Your Teammates, Lead Your Team, Lead Your Community.”
Members also discussed six core values that represent what it means to be a Raider: respect, accountability, integrity, dedication, excellence, and response.
These values will guide students as they work to strengthen the school’s athletic programs and encourage a positive team environment.
The nine members of the Raider Athletic Council are seniors Ben Klein and Nevaeh Son; juniors Isabel Bateman, Sullivan Engh, Allie Gallagher, Addison Peronto, Alyzon Romero, and Breckarl Walesh; and sophomore Marisa Luebke.
Through the new council, Two Rivers High School hopes to create a stronger athletic culture while helping students develop skills that will benefit them in sports, school, and their future endeavors.
