Sheboygan County Food Bank has announced a new program aimed at helping struggling families this holiday season.
The Holiday Ham and Turkey Drive will run October 19th through November 9th, and community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to donate hams and turkeys.
These holiday dinner table centerpieces will be given to food pantry guests through the end of the year.
Patrick Boyle, the Executive Director of Sheboygan County Food Bank, said of the program, “The holidays are often centered around sharing a meal with the people we care about and we want to make sure our neighbors experiencing food insecurity to have that same opportunity. Donating a ham or turkey is a simple way to help make the season a little brighter for a local family.”
Food donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Food Bank, located at 3115 North 21st Street in Sheboygan, Door C.
Donation receipts are available upon request.
