The former office of Manitowoc’s St. Francis of Assisi Parish has been sold.
Paperwork was signed on September 30th for the office building on S. 8th Street. Father Michael Warden explained that while the process was long, St. Francis of Assisi Parish found a good buyer.
Although the name wasn’t given, it is a non-profit organization that helps youth.
Warden also thanked parish staff, the Knights of Columbus, and other volunteers who helped move to their new office located on Grand Avenue, adding that the sale of the 8th Street office means one less property to maintain, with utilities and less snow plowing.
He also congratulated the buyers and wished them the best on their continued mission.
St. Francis of Assisi Parish launched a campaign two years ago called Rebuild My Church, in which members raised $3.2 million to build their new office.
