The Clipper City Chordsmen have reached a fundraising milestone in support of local music education.
During their annual Singing in Harmony fundraiser, the Chordsmen raised over $18,000, which they will share equally among all high school vocal music programs in Manitowoc County and the Holy Family Conservatory of Music.
This year’s Singing in Harmony also included some local men who took the opportunity to sing on stage with the Clipper City Chordsmen after they reached out, offering nonmembers the opportunity.
The event also featured the Roncalli Singers and Badger Belles.
In addition to performances, which included 70 participants in the finale of “Harmony,” the event featured raffles and gift baskets.
Chorus President Bill Fricke says the Chordsmen may never know the influence they will have on students, but “they will surely remember the encouragement and support they received as a student singing in our schools.”
