Recent grant funding will help support children with disabilities in Manitowoc County.
As previously reported, Ascend Services was among the 402 nonprofit organizations to receive a portion of $1.6 million in grant funding from the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
Ascend Services has now announced that the grant money will be directed towards the organization’s Youth Services Program, specifically for community outing costs and admissions, transportation, and nutritious cooking supplies and food.
On the funding, Ascend Executive Director, Deanna Genske, noted, “We are honored to receive support from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. This grant allows us to create meaningful experiences that help young people explore their communities, develop practical skills, and gain the confidence needed to succeed in work and life.”
Other organizations to receive funding in the same Green Bay Packers Foundation grant cycle included Crossfire Ranch, Lakeshore Foster Families & Friends, Lakeshore Humane Society, Lotus Recovery Homes, and Patriot Riders of America WI Chapter 2.
