Carolina M. Blashka, 95, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County in Two Rivers.
Carolina was born on September 9, 1931 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Bartleme) Staudt. On August 25, 1951 she married William X. Blashka at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2014. Carolina was employed at the Mirro Corporation as an assembler for 43 years, retiring in 1993. Carolina was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the St. Clare Society. She also enjoyed collecting bears, knitting, reading, bowling, and baking.
Carolina is survived by her sister: Elizabeth Menchl, rural Mishicot; and two sisters-in-law: Marian Staudt, Two Rivers and Karen Blashka, Manitowoc. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carolina was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Helen Staudt; her husband: William Blashka; brother: Peter Staudt; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Theodore (Sylvia) Blashka, Edward Blashka, Joseph Blashka, Clarence (Lucille) Blashka, Cyril (Bernice) Blashka, Fredrich “ Fritz” Blashka, Josephine (George) Novak, Irene (Alex) Wicihowski, and Victor Menchl.
A funeral service to celebrate Carolina’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 12:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church-Waldo Site, 1121 N. 14th Street, with Rev. Arogya Prashanth Gade officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Carolina will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum.
