A Stoughton man is in custody following a four-hour standoff with police Saturday night.
Authorities arrested Jerred Baty after he barricaded himself inside a home on West Jefferson Street and threatened to shoot responding officers.
Police originally arrived around 10:00 following reports that Baty pointed a gun at a group of kids and threatened to kill people.
Nearby residents were evacuated while multiple law enforcement agencies responded before Baty eventually surrendered peacefully to face several felony charges.
