The De Pere Area Chamber has launched its first project for Good Neighbor Week.
On the morning of October 6th, 12 to 13 students from John Dewey Academy of Learning and other community members volunteered to work on several home improvement projects.
These projects included installing fences, landscape mulching, painting, and drywall patching.
“There is something special about seeing people come together, roll up their sleeves and simply help a neighbor,” says David Vander Bloomen, President & CEO of the De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce.
Good Neighbor Week is an annual event put on by NeighborWorks Green Bay that works to bring volunteers together to help community members with household projects.
