Manitowoc Police are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous.
This follows an incident earlier this morning in the 1200 block of S. 7th Street, after officers responded to a weapons complaint.
Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch was told that a male subject, later identified as 32-year-old Jordan M. Gursky, was intoxicated and waving a handgun at one of the victim’s sons. But before police could arrive, Gursky fled on foot with what was described as a black semi-automatic handgun.
Manitowoc Police used a drone and a K9 unit from the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office to help track Gursky, prompting a shelter-in-place order in the area of S. 10th Street.
That shelter-in-place has since ended. Manitowoc Police are actively searching for Gursky, who was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts.
He’s 6’ 1”, weighs 280 pounds, and has red hair and brown eyes.
The 32-year-old suspect doesn’t have a vehicle, but someone may have picked him up.
Gursky has ties to Manitowoc, Two Rivers, and Chilton. Jordan faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges and has an active warrant in Calumet County.
Anyone with information on Gursky’s whereabouts can relay the information to the Manitowoc Police Department’s Shift Commander line at 920-686-6551.
