Two Sheboygan County School Districts are listed among the top ten in the state.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty has released its analysis of the Forward Exam, which included a list of the top and bottom ten performing school districts.
Coming in at #4 was Kohler, where just over 86% of students met or exceeded expectations in the English Language Arts, while Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah was ranked #9 with 82% of students meeting or exceeding expectations.
However, the entire report was not overly optimistic about the state of school test results. WILL stated, “After three years under the Department of Public Instruction (DPI)’s revised cut scores, Wisconsin is still mostly stuck in neutral. English/Language Arts proficiency now sits at about 53 percent statewide. That is up from 51.1 percent in 2023-24. An increase is better than a decline, but the movement is marginal.”
Meanwhile, the math proficiency rate fell four tenths of a percent over the past three years.
