A road project in Two Rivers is continuing to progress.
In an update from City Hall, a first layer of asphalt will be put on top of Emmet Street between 18th and 19th Streets following setbacks related to the road base.
Two Rivers officials call the asphalt paving an important step toward completing the improvements and getting the road back into service.
The construction company is expected to return early this week to finish the remaining work in the area.
Crews will also complete larger asphalt patches near McDonald’s and the south end of East Street near Harbor Street.
City staff says they appreciate residents’ patience while the work has progressed and that some construction projects can take longer than expected when issues arise.
Drivers in Two Rivers are asked to use caution around work zones and give crews plenty of room to complete the work safely.
