A Manitowoc man has been arrested after allegedly driving drunk.
56-year-old Victor Salas was given a $2,500 signature bond by Manitowoc County Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch on Friday (October 2nd) on his 4th Operating While Intoxicated offense.
Few details regarding the incident have been made available, however, Manitowoc County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Lassiter noted during his bail hearing that the charge arose after the 56-year-old was pulled over by local authorities on an equipment violation.
On suspicion of being under the influence, the officer then ordered Salas to complete a field sobriety test, which he failed, prompting his arrest for a possible fourth OWI.
As part of his bond, he was also ordered to maintain absolute sobriety.
Salas will now return to court on October 15th to make his initial appearance in Branch 4.
