The 2026 Curd Crawl Fundraiser is almost here.
This year’s Curd Crawl will be on October 10th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm in downtown Manitowoc.
Ashley Bender has put tons of work into making the Curd Crawl what it is today, and her team at United Way invites all community members to taste cheesy treats and raise money for anti-hunger projects.
Ashley says that this Curd Crawl is a very unique and exciting event in our community.
“The Curd Crawl helps raise money, connect with downtown communities, and is something fun and enjoyable for people to experience,” she told SeehaferNews.com.
On top of the curd tastings, this event will also include raffles, prizes, and give participants the opportunity to vote for who has the best cheese curds in downtown Manitowoc.
This vote will take place at the Fat Seagull, where one establishment will be crowned the 2026 Cheese Curd Champion.
Ashley also noted, “Another great thing is that all funds will go towards hunger projects through United Way.”
For those who have participated in past Curd Crawls, Ashley says that this year’s event will have some slight changes.
“This year, we have six bars participating in the crawl, and last year we had eight,” she explained. “With the downsize, people will have more time to move between bars and really sit and enjoy their curds.”
Ashley also says that instead of having wristbands, there will be $5 curd tickets.
Each ticket includes three curds and sauce from one establishment, so to try all six locations, attendees will have to purchase six tickets.

On top of the Curd Crawl, United Way has several other events that they are looking forward to.
One of these events is their fundraiser, Fill My Logo, which will fill people’s logos with donations and pledges.
Another event they are excited for is the Dolly Walk Fundraiser, where United Way will be working with Imagination Library to put more books in the hands of children.
United Way is always working to help raise money for those in their community.
