A Wisconsin-based cell phone provider is continuing its support for Special Olympics.
Cellcom supports Special Olympics Wisconsin, helping provide year-round sports training and competition, health programming, athlete leadership opportunities, and Unified Champions Schools initiatives that impact more than 14,000 athletes and families.
Cellcom employees will also support Special Olympics Wisconsin through event participation and community activations, helping raise awareness and advance the mission of inclusion across the state.
Special Olympics Wisconsin CEO Chad Hershner says Cellcom’s investments have “created opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop confidence, build friendships, improve their health, and showcase their abilities.”
The organization serves athletes ages 8 and older through year-round programming in 19 Olympic-type sports while also providing critical health services, leadership development opportunities, and inclusive experiences that unite people with and without intellectual disabilities.
