As the school year enters its second month, the Sheboygan Area School District has shared that one of its classrooms has received a major transformation.
4th grade teacher Kiley Elsing of Wilson Elementary School was recently selected as a winner of the 2026 HON Learning Space Giveaway.
This giveaway included hundreds of entries, and Elsing’s classroom being selected has resulted in new student workspaces, collaborative tables, flexible seating, storage, and more.
New features in the classroom include 30 new student workstations with white markerboard surfaces, triangle ottomans, floor cushions, stools, chairs, and collaborative tables with a listed value of just over $60,000.
On the classroom transformation, the district stated, “The result is a classroom with spaces for students to work independently, collaborate with classmates, and find a comfortable spot to focus. Students are already putting the new space to use!”
