“Stop Signs Coming Soon” – New Signs Being Installed Today in Manitowoc

Manitowoc motorists are being reminded of a signage project that begins today throughout the Clipper City.

Temporary signs that read “Stop Signs Coming Soon” will be installed today at the South 12^th Street intersections with Grand Avenue, and Green, Philippen, and Manila Streets, and the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and North 14^th Street.

Those signs will be replaced with permanent stop signs on October 19^th.

Phase 2 of the project will be along Madison Street, specifically at the intersections with South 11^th, 12^th, 13^th, 15^th, 18^th, and 19th Streets.

Those “coming soon” signs will be installed on October 19^th, with the stop signs coming on November 9^th.

Lastly, “coming soon” signs for phase three will be installed on November 9^th at the Columbus Street intersections with South 11^th, 12^th, 13^th, and 17^th Streets, as well as the Park Street intersections with North 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th Streets, with the permeant stop signs going up on November 30^th.

Mayor Justin Nickels previously told SeehaferNews.com that these changes coincide “with the growth and the development of the area.”
