Manitowoc’s newest coffee shop is getting closer to being ready for customers.
Erik Larson, who owns the former Pizza Hut property on Washington Street, tells SeehaferNews.com that the Ziggi’s Coffee being built on the lot is expected to be open for business on November 10th.
He initially planned to be open in August, but when the tornado struck Appleton and Menasha in July, the roofing contractor left to go help.
Larson explained, “We finally have a steel roofer lined up but the rain caused delays…The east side can’t be finished without the flashing installed by the new roofer. However, we have it all lined up now.”
He called the entire thing a “bizarre experience,” but says some substantial work should be completed in the next three weeks.
The entire project has been marred by delays and issues, with the most public one being when the roof was left sitting on pallets.
