Some students from northeastern Wisconsin earned honorable mention from the Wisconsin DNR for one of their contests.
Every year, the DNR asks students to design its State Park and Forest Vehicle Admission Pass.
Olivia Johnson from Ashwaubenon High School, along with Candence Zernzach and Tyler Pagels from Hortonville High School, got honorable mentions for creating designs for the state park passes.
The winner of the 2027 contest was Delevan-Darien High School junior Kiet Tuan Tran.
The annual 2027 State Park and Forest vehicle admission pass design contest is in its 36th year, and this year the DNR received more than 120 submissions.
They are now accepting artwork entries from high school students for the 2028 Wisconsin State Park and Forest vehicle admission passes.
Materials for the 2028 pass design contest are now available, and students can submit entries through April 30, 2027.
