A convicted sex offender has been released from prison and will be residing in Fond du Lac.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department has announced that 55-year-old William T. Schellinger has served his time as imposed by the courts and will be living in the 400 block of Thomas Street in Fond du Lac.
He was convicted in 2015 on charges of Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child, two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and six counts each of Child Sexploitation and Possession of Child Pornography.
His exact release date was not given, but it was noted that he will be on supervised release until September 24th, 2041.
As a part of his release, Schellinger was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors, not to consume drugs, and to comply with the standard sex offender rules, including being under electronic monitoring.
Schellinger is not wanted by police at this time, and any use of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass him will not be tolerated.
