Some communities in eastern Wisconsin will receive funding through the Surface Transportation Program and Local Bridge Improvement Assistance Program.
A total of $370 million will go toward 195 local, rural, and urban road and bridge improvement projects.
In Manitowoc County, funding will go toward improvements on E. Washington Street or County Road XX in Cleveland.
In Sheboygan County, funding will go toward the Mullet River bridge in the Town of Greenbush at Center Street.
Funding for the projects comes from federal funding put into the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
WisDOT Secretary Kristina Boardman says the Surface Transportation and Local Bridge projects will “support that goal while also modernizing our transportation infrastructure.”
