A relatively new yearly event will be returning to the Sheboygan area to raise awareness of homelessness.
The Sheboygan County Housing Coalition will be hosting its third annual A Night Without Shelter event on October 24th at St. Luke Methodist Church, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Throughout the night, attendees will have the chance to learn about the resources available in the community and the realities faced by their unhoused neighbors.
The Housing Coalition explains that the event will be an evening of awareness, education, and community engagement featuring virtual tours of local shelters.
They also added, “Together, we’ll explore the challenges of homelessness, learn about available support services, and discover ways we can help create lasting change. Help us raise awareness, inspire compassion, and create hope.”
Those in attendance are also encouraged to bring a sleeping bag and stay overnight to help achieve a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.
