Registration is now open for the annual Zombie Zoom Halloween 5K and 1-Mile Walk in Two Rivers.
The spooky event will take place Saturday, October 31st, beginning at 9:000 a.m. at Central Park East.
Day-of packet pickup and zombie face painting will begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 8:45 a.m.
Awards will follow the race at 10:30 a.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete for several awards, including best individual costume, best group costume, and best dog costume.
Awards will also be presented to the top three male and female race finishers.
Early packet pickup will be available Friday, Oct. 30, from 8:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Two Rivers Community House recreation desk.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department Youth Sports Equipment and Financial Aid Fund. Donations to the fund are also welcome.
The race will be chip-timed, with results posted online. Strollers are permitted at the back of the pack, and headphones and earbuds are allowed. Restrooms will be available at the Community House and Central Park West.
Real or replica weapons are prohibited at the event.
The 5K registration fee is $35 for early registration, $40 for regular registration, and $45 for late registration.
Early and regular registrants are guaranteed their requested shirt size, while late registrants are not guaranteed a shirt.
Registration for the 1-mile walk is $20 and does not include a T-shirt.
