An important step has been taken to get the Two Rivers harbor dredged.
Sixth District Congressman Glenn Grothman explains that the U.S. House passed the Water Resources Development Act, which included the Two Rivers project.
The Glenbeulah Republican says he’s heard directly from Two Rivers boaters, local businesses, and community leaders about the problems caused by delayed dredging and the need to keep the harbor accessible.
He says that’s why he “pushed to get the Two Rivers Harbor project included in this legislation.”
Rep. Grothman says there is still work to be done, but this is a significant step toward getting the dredging and harbor improvement completed.
The Two Rivers Harbor was last dredged in 2020.
The project itself might not be ready until either 2027 or 2028.
