Charges have been dropped for multiple suspects in a Manitowoc County methamphetamine case.
Court records show that charges of Possession of Methamphetamine linked to a July incident have been dropped against Steve Gawinski of Two Rivers and Emily Smith of Plymouth.
Gawinski and Smith were arrested and charged alongside 62-year-old Mark Walloch of Two Rivers and 30-year-old Emily Kumbalek of Manitowoc following a Manitowoc County traffic stop that led to a search and the eventual discovery of a baggie of meth in the vehicle.
During the search, THC was also found, leading to additional Possession of THC charges for Kumbalek and Walloch.
However, in the time since the incident, all charges have been dropped against Gawinski and Smith, while Kumbalek’s meth charge was also dropped.
At this time, no additional information on why the charges against the three were dropped has been made available.
Walloch will return to court in the case on October 1st for his preliminary hearing, while Kumbalek will be back for a scheduling conference on October 14th.
