A hospital in Sheboygan is helping a local animal shelter amid a virus outbreak.
The Humane Society of Sheboygan County has shared that HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital has donated five pallets of personal protective equipment (PPE) as the shelter is closed due to an outbreak of feline panleukopenia.
With great appreciation, the Humane Society stated, “We truly cannot express how grateful we are for this incredible donation. PPE has been essential as our team works tirelessly to care for our cats while cleaning, disinfecting, isolating, and taking every precaution possible to prevent further spread.”
They also explained that St. Nick’s is not the only group that has helped out during the outbreak, noting that many individuals, families, businesses, and organizations have dropped off and shipped supplies to aid in a time of need.
More information on the virus outbreak and the donation can be found on the Humane Society of Sheboygan County Facebook page.
