The DATCP is now accepting applications for its annual Meat Processor Infrastructure Grant program.
The meat processor grant program aims to grow Wisconsin’s meat industry and improve the long-term viability of the state’s livestock industry.
DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski noted, “This is the sixth time the Meat Processor Infrastructure Grants will be offered, and since Governor Evers and the legislature created the program, meat processors have used the funds to increase capacity, update infrastructure and improve efficiency. Meat processors are encouraged to apply for this opportunity and use this program as another tool to reach their processing goals.”
DATCP will award grants for up to $50,000 for projects that last up to two years and help expand capacity or increase throughput.
Applications can be submitted at DATCP.wi.gov through October 15th.
