There’s an interesting slate of high school football games on this fifth Friday night of the 2026 season.
The undefeated Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers (2-0 in the Big East, 4-0 overall) hit the road to battle Random Lake/Ozaukee in a Big East matchup.
The Lancers have not allowed a defensive touchdown in the first four games of the season, while Random Lake/Ozaukee will look to utilize their solid running attack, which averages better than 280 yards per game and nearly seven yards per carry, to shorten the game and keep the Lancers’ offense off the field.
The Bison are 1-1 in the Big East and 3-1 overall. The kickoff in Random Lake is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Brillion, ranked 10th in Division Five, takes their 3-1 record to Rubick Field in Manitowoc to battle the Roncalli Jets.
The Lions come to town riding high off a 41 to 7 victory over previously unbeaten New Holstein, while the Jets, at 2-2, are riding high following their fourth-quarter comeback win over Two Rivers last week.
Coverage on AM 980 WCUB and CubRadio.com begins at 6:45 p.m.
Speaking of Two Rivers, they return to Jerry Bonino Field to host a very physical Chilton Tigers team.
The Raiders (0-2 in the EWC, 1-3 overall) have had some close contests that haven’t gone their way in the first half of the season, with the most disappointing coming in the loss to rival Roncalli last week.
Chilton comes to TR looking to snap a two-game losing streak, having dropped EWC contests to Kiel and St. Mary Catholic.
Coverage on 98.9 FM WOMT 100 and WOMTRadio.com begins at 6:45 p.m.
The marquee game in the EWC pits 3-1 Kiel, making a five-minute bus ride to visit rival 3-1 New Holstein.
The visiting Raiders have not lost since week one at Lakeside Country Lutheran, while the Huskies look to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season at Brillion last week.
