Local organizations will be fundraising to honor a recently lost legend and support childhood literacy this month.
The United Way of Sheboygan County will be hosting 9 to 5 at 925: A Fundraiser for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library on September 25th, or 9/25.
The event will be held at The Pelican Room at Downtown 925 on 8th Street in Sheboygan with the goal of raising $925 on 9/25 at 925.
Every donation received will go directly back to Sheboygan’s Imagination Library program, providing free books to children every month until their 5th birthday.
To help fundraising efforts, competitions will be held with the winners taking home the 9/25 Big Hair Champion Award, Higher the Hair Award, Rhinestones & Rosettes Award, and Big Heart Award, all in honor of Dolly Parton, who created the Imagination Library and passed away late last month.
The event will be free to attend, with food and drinks available for purchase as well.
