A Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputy is back on desk duty following an off-duty incident in Calumet County.
Manitowoc County Chief Deputy Jason Orth tells Seehafernews.com that Andrew Beck, who’s part of the Manitowoc County Drug Unit, has been temporarily reassigned to administrative duty while a pending criminal matter proceeds.
The reassignment is “standard practice, non-disciplinary, and does not reflect any determination of guilt or wrongdoing.”
Because the incident involved both a pending case in another jurisdiction and an internal personnel matter, they cannot comment on specific details or allegations.
Questions regarding the case can be directed to the Calumet County District Attorney’s Office.
Court records show that Beck is facing misdemeanor charges of criminal damage to property and theft of property over $2,500.
He’s scheduled to make his initial appearance on September 28th.
