Local stage performers in Sheboygan are looking to support those experiencing homelessness in the community.
The Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) is hosting Make Room for Neighbors, a community donation drive, until October 3rd in partnership with the Sheboygan County Warming Center.
Throughout the next three weeks, coinciding with the final showing of STC’s Come From Away production, the theatre group will be collecting items specifically requested by the Warming Center.
These include food items such as to-go breakfast items, granola bars, individually bagged nuts and snacks, and paper napkins.
Transportation-minded requests include Shoreline Metro bus passes and Kwik Trip gift cards in $5 and $10 increments, while the Warming Center is also asking for gently used men’s and women’s sweatshirts and sweatpants of all sizes.
Now through October 3rd, donations can be brought to the Warming Center located at 623 Ontario Avenue, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., or by appointment.
Likewise, donations can be dropped off 45 minutes before showtime for STC’s seven showings of Come From Away at the Leslie W. Johnson Theatre.
More information on the donation drive can be found on the STC Facebook page.
