The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating the work of some of its partners who focus on addressing mental health.
This week, the Sheriff’s Office is celebrating National Co-Responder and Crisis Responder Week, which officially runs from September 13th through the 19th.
According to the International Co-Responder Alliance, this week was established in 2023 and celebrates the many co-responders and crisis responders trying to meet the rising demand for mental health and substance use services.
The Sheriff’s Office adds that its partnership with co-responders and crisis responders allows it to take a more comprehensive approach to calls involving mental health and behavioral health concerns.
To close, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said with appreciation, “To all of our Co-Responders and Crisis Responders: thank you for your compassion, professionalism, and commitment to serving others. We appreciate the difference you make in the lives of the people we serve and are proud to have you as partners in public safety.”
