Sheboygan County has a vacancy on one of its committees.
Sheboygan County Administrator Alayne Krause has announced that the county is accepting applications from residents to fill a vacancy on the Board of Adjustment.
Krause states, “The Board of Adjustment is an independent quasi-judicial body in County government. It reviews and decides appeals to the County’s Planning & Conservation Department and Airport Division in conjunction with the administration of sanitary, shoreland, floodplain, nonmetallic mining, and airport height limitation ordinances.”
As the Board may not include two members from the same township, candidates for the vacancy must reside in either the Town of Russell, Herman, Mosel, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, Wilson, Scott, or Sherman.
While legal, zoning, or conservation knowledge isn’t required, an awareness or interest in these matters would be beneficial for a candidate.
Applicants should send a letter of interest and brief resume to County Administrator Krause’s office at 508 New York Avenue in Sheboygan by no later than 4:30 p.m. on October 2nd.
