A 25-year-old Milton man drowns while snorkeling at Cox Hollow Beach in Governor Dodge State Park on Saturday.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says Jordan Allen went underwater, and bystanders began lifesaving efforts that continued after first responders arrived.
Despite those efforts, Allen could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Iowa County Coroner’s Office.
Two other bystanders also needed medical attention during the response, but were later released after being taken to the hospital.
