The Manitowoc County Chamber is looking for volunteers for its first financial literacy event.
The Reality Store makes a stop at Kiel High School on Thursday, October 1st, to help students examine their attitudes about their futures and career expectations.
Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Kiel High School front office at 7:45 a.m. and stay until 11:30 a.m.
They will staff one of several booths and help students make wise financial choices based on their salary.
Each student who enters the Reality Store will receive a salary based on their career before stopping to pay Uncle Sam.
They will then use the remaining money to learn how to pay for a home, car, and more.
Kiel High School students will leave the event having learned basic skills in financial planning, goal setting, decision-making, and career planning.
Questions can be directed to melissa@chambermanitowoccounty.org.
