A crash this morning in Manitowoc resulted in two motorists being taken by ambulance to local hospitals.
As of 7:30 this morning, Manitowoc Police and Fire were on the scene of the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South 35th and Custer Streets.
While investigators are still piecing together exactly what happened, a black SUV with severe front-end damage ended up on the 35th Street lawn of the Action Realty property, while a white SUV with damage to the front passenger side narrowly avoided striking a power pole.
Fire Department Battalion Chief Charles Olson did confirm that two people were treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance with unspecified injuries to local hospitals.
A wrecker was on scene and was working to load up the vehicles.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
