
The Milwaukee County executive is not planning to keep an automated license plate reader system around.
Executive David Crowley said he doesn’t plan to renew a contract with Flock Safety when it expires at the end of this year.
His comments come after issuing a directive for the county and municipalities to evaluate how the technology is used.
The Democratic nominee for Wisconsin governor’s directive also pushes for limits on how the system is used on county property, including access to and the sharing of data.
