An educational speaker series on data centers is set to begin in Sheboygan.
Today (September 9th), the first of four sessions taking place throughout September will be held at Uptown Social, running from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Today’s featured speaker will be Becky Valqc, the President of the Wisconsin Energy Company & Vice President of Energy Delivery with Alliant Energy.
This series was established in Sheboygan upon request from the Common Council to educate themselves and the public on data centers and their impacts as the City creates its future zoning code.
The City also added, “This series is purely to help city leadership and the community understand the industry and prepare. Members of the public and local stakeholders are welcome to attend the sessions in person at Uptown Social or virtually.”
The remaining sessions are scheduled for September 16th, 23rd, and 30th, all being held at Uptown Social on 8th Street.
