There are three meetings on the calendar for today (September 8th) in the City of Two Rivers.
Up first is the Public Utilities Committee, which will be in the Committee Room in City Hall at 5:00 p.m.
After hearing input from the public, the group will get the latest on the Riverside Foods, Columbus Lift Station, and the East Water Tower painting projects.
Then, at 6:00 p.m., the City Council will convene in the Council Chambers, where they will consider a sex offender residency appeal and will award a contract for upcoming sidewalk replacements.
They will also vote on a resolution to discontinue fluoridating city water.
During two work session meetings, council members posed the pros and cons of discontinuing the program, with Adam Wachowski and Katherine Dahlke pointing to the many residents who say they want the program ended.
Darla LeClaire felt it was best to keep it in for now, saying, “Follow the science.”
At the same time, the Library Board will meet in the Community Room in the Lester Public Library.
After looking over the progress of the director’s six-month priorities, the group will review the proposed 2027 budget.
