One person is dead after a bicycle hit a pickup truck in Jefferson County.
JCSO officials were called around 2:00 p.m. Sunday to the Town of Oakland.
Authorities determined the biker was trying to turn onto Highway 18 when they went too far into the roadway and were hit by a large pickup truck, causing them to be thrown off the bike.
The victim died from their injuries, and the investigation remains ongoing.
