Brian James Polak’s ‘The Call List’ at Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay is starting rehearsals.
This playwright is a part of a statewide festival, World Premiere Wisconsin, that celebrates new plays and musicals throughout 2026.
This is the fourth show of the festival and will star Eva Nimmer and run from September 23rd to October 11th.
The play revolves around a legal worker who is tasked with calling a list of people and telling them a client has died, which turns into a dark, funny, and heartfelt mystery.
Before the play started to perform, it had already received attention as a Semi-Finalist in Seven Devils New Play Foundry Playwrights Conference, along with earning Semi-Finalist in B Street Theatre’s Comedies Festival.
After the 7:30 pm show on September 26th, there will be a conversation about the process of bringing The Call List to the stage.
There will also be a Pay-What-You-Will Preview on September 23rd at 7:30 pm.
This show will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and donations are more than welcome.
