Only one Manitowoc County school district has a referendum question on the upcoming election ballot.
The Brillion School District is asking residents to allow it to exceed its revenue limit by $1 million per year for the next five years beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
This money will go towards funding recurring expenses including educational programs and services, staff compensation, updating technology, and covering building maintenance costs.
The only other school district referendum question in our area comes from the School District of Sheboygan Falls, which is asking for $65.7 million to enhance safety and accessibility, expand educational experiences, and address aging facilities and infrastructure.
