Wisconsin hospitals once again rank among the nation’s best.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have released their latest Patient Survey Star Ratings, which find Wisconsin tied with Texas for the highest number of hospitals earning five stars.
A list compiled by Becker’s Hospital Review using the CMS Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data shows 22 Wisconsin hospitals earned five-star ratings for overall patient experience, tying Texas—a state with more than five times Wisconsin’s population—for the most five-star hospitals in the country.
The ratings are based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS), the national survey that asks patients about their experiences during a recent hospital stay.
