A motorcycle crash in Manitowoc County has led to someone’s death.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 6000 block of Johnston Drive in the Town of Two Rivers for the crash yesterday evening just before 6:00 p.m.
Preliminary information indicates that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Johnston Drive when it approached the Woodland Drive curve and continued straight, entering a heavily wooded area.
The 23-year-old rider was located and pronounced deceased on scene.
Sheriff Dan Hartwig says Johnston Drive was closed when the crash was investigated and reopened almost two hours later.
Hartwig stated, on behalf of the sheriff’s office, that they offer their deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragic incident.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Town of Two Rivers Fire Department, Mishicot Ambulance, and the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office.
