It was a night to forget for the Manitowoc Lincoln football team.
The Ships took the trip north to take on Notre Dame, who would win handily by a score of 69-0.
15 seconds into the game, Manitowoc Lincoln found themselves trailing by a touchdown after speedy Notre Dame return man Quinn Blom took the opening kick to the house for a 95-yard touchdown.
On the ensuing offensive drive for the Ships, a fumble recovery returned for a score left Lincoln trailing 14-0 in the first two minutes of the game, and the Tritons would never look back.
For a third straight week, Manitowoc Lincoln’s offensive line struggled, failing to get a push in the run game and offering quarterback Kieran Hang little time to pass.
For Notre Dame, their star running back Kingston Allen would only tally six carries on the night but found the end zone three times in the one-sided loss for the Ships.
With the loss, Lincoln falls to 0-3 on the year and 0-1 in the FRCC.
They will go for their first win of the season next week when they host Menasha.
