The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater says there’s no threat to life after an emergency alert was sent out earlier Wednesday.
A campus safety alert posted just after 11 a.m. said the campus community was asked to shelter in place.
However, police confirmed there was no threat to safety when the alert was activated.
Officials say someone reported a person walked into Andersen Hall and was yelling, with witnesses believing the person had a weapon.
Police found the person later and determined the person didn’t have a weapon.
