A local credit union has received a major honor.
UnitedOne Credit Union has been named the nation’s “Best Credit Union to Work For” by American Banker.
This is UnitedOne’s fourth consecutive finish in the top 10 of the annual list that recognizes 70 credit unions across the country.
These include organizations ranging from over 3,000 employees to ones employing less than 30.
UnitedOne employs 97 people across locations in Manitowoc and Sheboygan, placing it as the top credit union to work for in the country with assets between $200-$500 million for a second straight year.
On this distinction, UnitedOne CEO Amy Sonnemann stated, “The support of our leadership team and Board of Directors has helped create an environment where employees feel valued and empowered to succeed. Their dedication translates into outstanding service for our members, who continue to inspire our mission every day.”
American Banker’s annual list takes into account two surveys: one completed by employees examining their satisfaction with their place of work, and another that evaluates the benefits and policies of each establishment.
