Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo is going public with his off-field struggles.
Romo pleaded no contest yesterday in Milwaukee to a drunk driving charge that stemmed from an arrest last month.
He’ll lose his license for six months and pay a $784 fine.
In a statement issued after the court appearance, Romo admitted to alcohol dependency caused in part by an over-reliance on painkillers while playing football.
The 46-year-old says he’s working with doctors to address his health and is hopeful he’ll be allowed to return to his broadcasting duties with CBS.
