The City of Sheboygan has shared more details on an upcoming fundraising event.
The Mayor’s International Committee will be hosting “A Weekend Abroad” on September 19th and 20th, a two-day fundraising event celebrating Sheboygan’s two sister cities.
The event will be held at Christopher Farm and Gardens from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Day one will pay homage to Tsubame, Sheboygan’s Japanese sister city, while day two will be in honor of Sheboygan’s other sister city, Esslingen, Germany.
Across the two-day event, attendees will be able to experience Japanese martial arts demonstrations, tea tastings, traditional German games, live polka music, and much more, offering an immersive look into Japanese and German cultures.
All proceeds raised during the event will support cultural exchange and sister-city programming for the Sheboygan community.
